When getting quotes for your Car Insurance, choosing a higher voluntary excess will help to bring down the cost of your car insurance premiums because the insurer won't have to pay out so much in the event of a claim. On the flipside, this means that you'll be the one coughing up the extra cost if you have to make a claim.
Multi Vehicle Excess protection insurance will cover up to 5 vehicles at the same home address owned by the home owner or a family member. It works alongside your normal car insurance policies and will cover the cost of your excess if you have to make a claim, up to a pre-agreed limit. Multi Vehicle Excess Protection can be particularly useful for young drivers, as increasing the excess can bring the premiums down by hundreds of pounds.
