CLAIMS SETTLEMENT


Your claim will be handled on a ‘pay and claim’ basis. You will have to pay the costs upfront and then we will reimburse you on receipt of valid receipts/invoices.


To check whether you are covered for the fault, please contact the claims team prior to authorising any work to be carried out on your vehicle.


MAKING A CLAIM


Your claim will be handled on the insurer’s behalf by Davies Group Limited. The claims telephone number is: 0344 856 2231 We will require the following information, so please have this to hand when telephoning.


a) The policy number and vehicle registration number.

b) Current mileage of your vehicle.

c) Details of the vehicle service and MOT history.

d) Details of the cause of the breakdown


You are responsible for any costs of supplying all the relevant information or documents required in preparing any claim under this policy. This will include but will not be limited to written confirmation from your roadside assistance or motor breakdown company that a claim was made under their policy, the vehicle could not be repaired by them and your vehicle had to be towed to a garage or vehicle repairer.


Should you need to make a claim:


a) It is your responsibility to pay the costs of dismantling and repairing the vehicle if the fault is not covered by this policy, and any additional costs and excesses that apply which exceed the claim limit.

b) You are responsible for paying for any additional work that you ask the repairer to undertake

c) We are not responsible for any work carried out, any complaints about the work carried out should be directed at the garage that carried out the repair.
